Our Neighborhood Ambassadors are back! Due to shelter in place orders and extreme difficulty in obtaining necessary PPE to ensure the health and safety of the neighborhood ambassadors, we made the tough decision to temporarily suspend the program from March 16 – May 31.
Working closely with Safety1st managers and ambassadors, and in consultation with County guidelines and City partners, we designed an approach to safely restart these crucially important maintenance and hospitality services our Downtown corridor. We know that this hiatus greatly impacted the district and we offer huge thanks to the businesses, property owners, and residents who stepped up to help fill in! We are very fortunate to have such incredible partners in this work of bringing back our Downtown. We have committed additional resources to ensure the health of our team (pandemic pay, new PPE, social distancing, and sanitation protocols) and to make up for lost time (2 additional maintenance members for June). Keep an eye out for our teams:
Maintenance Crew: Mary, Deonte, Andre, Josh on Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri, 8am-11am
Hospitality Crew: Mary, Bill on Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri, 2pm-6pm
Help us welcome them back by saying “hello” when you see them Downtown. Please also keep doing what you’re doing to keep Downtown in tip top shape:
Report issues via the City’s app or by calling in illegal dumping, trash/debris, or graffiti
Call 211 to connect unhoused folks with services via CORE team
Contact us via email or website form with any concerns
