Richmond Main Street Initiative Announces The Great Goodie Bag Giveaway,

and A Richmond Nutcracker

Richmond, CA—Macdonald Avenue in Richmond’s historic downtown commercial corridor is ready for the holidays! 

On Sunday, December 12, from 10am – 3pm, and Wednesday, December 15, from 6pm – 7pm the historic Winters Building (339 11th Street) will be transformed into a winter wonderland for the annual Downtown Holiday Festival.

Richmond Main Street Initiative and East Bay Center for the Performing Arts invite families from the Iron Triangle and surrounding communities to tune in to enjoy this unique multi-cultural holiday celebration complete with festive music, Santa Claus, and caroling!

The Great Goodie Bag Giveaway registration SOLD OUT within the first week of launch! 

On December 15 via YouTube Live, the East Bay Center resident companies will present A Richmond Nutcracker, a spectacular multi-discipline performance. Classic characters, stories, and dances will be presented in both traditional and distinctly Richmond interpretations. This live performance is scheduled for 6pm (running time approximately 45 minutes).

Admission is free and made possible through generous support from Mechanics Bank, LifeLong Medical Care, Travis Credit Union, and Sims Metal Management with generous support from the City of Richmond, West County Reads, RPAL, and individual donors.
