Back in April we partnered with Groundwork Richmond to plant eleven trees on 11th Street. As we welcomed these dogwoods and Japanese maples to Downtown, we looked toward to the future, namely filling in empty tree wells and refreshing planters along Macdonald Avenue. In late June we heard great news from Groundwork Richmond: their crews had checked off the first item on our wish list! The next time you walk downtown our main street, keep an eye out for these new saplings and say thanks to our fantastic partners at Groundwork Richmond for renewing our urban tree canopy and investing in the health of our community. Next up: refreshing the planters!
