Energize Richmond! Energy Efficiency Rebate Opportunities for Local Businesses   Dear Richmond Business Owners:   The City of Richmond is excited to inform you about an exciting expanded  energy efficiency rebates  for small and medium sized local businesses.   The East Bay Energy Watch Partnership (EBEW) is an energy efficiency rebate program is funded by utility ratepayers at PG&E and MCE. The EBEW provides businesses with technical assistance, project management, and rebates toward lighting, refrigeration and heating, ventilation, and cooling (HVAC) energy efficiency projects. They specialize in assisting small- and medium-sized businesses in West Contra Costa County to control energy use, decrease and stabilize energy costs, and meet climate action goals. Since 2005, EBEW partners performed over 1,000 energy assessments in Richmond and assisted nearly 600 of those businesses improve their operations and reduce their energy use by a cumulative first year savings of $8,475,000.   The City of Richmond is partnering with the EBEW to provide expanded rebates for business owners to participate and expand energy efficiency retrofits for their businesses. EBEW’s standard rebates cover 50%-70% of project costs, and leave business owners with approximately $1,500 and $2,000 of remaining “gap” costs. Richmond business owners are now eligible for up to an additional $6,000 in rebates provided by the City to meet their remaining gap costs if they participate in the EBEW program.   Please contact our EBEW partners to access your City of Richmond rebate. All rebates are available on a first come, first serve basis so do not hesitate to take advantage of this great opportunity!  Get Started Today: Contact EBEW at eastbayenergywatch@dnvgl.com or (800) 576-6405 More Info: Download the flyer
